Vintage early 1970s multicoloured velvet patchwork maxi skirt. Very'mr freedom' or'granny takes a trip' style. Slim a-line shape with a wide waistband, the velvet is backed with a thin black cotton and also is fully lined in black acetate including the waistband. Darting below the waistband front and back which gives and nice smooth silhouette and makes it fit nicely on the hips. Zipper in the side or back.
Photos show the skirt in two positions - zip at the side and zip at the back and it seems to work nicely both ways. Not a home-made piece, it is a genuine retail garment. Wonderful jewel-tone colours mixed with darker colours.
Would look amazing worn with long boots. No issues with stains, odours or tears.
