This skirts are rare now. They are real vintage pieces. I bought the whole stock. You will find more vintage skirts coming up in my shop the next days. Made in kutch, the indian state gujarat.
The fabric is a very heavy red cotton. Entirely handembroidered in the classic ethnostyle of the tribal people from kutch. You find in this embroidery real mirrorcuttings which is rare now. People are using today more often thin polyestermirrors, or mirrorsequins. If you find real mirrors it is mostly a sign for good quality.Around 26 inches of the length is completly handembroidered with woolenthreads in different coloure. Because of the age please do not expect everything in a 100% good condition. Some defaults in the embroidery or cotton can be seen. Around the waist is a small cottonstring. You can adjust the width. Please remember the tribal people from kutch, or in general in india, have a small figure. Length 35 inchembroidery lenght 26 inchwidth of the bottompart 110 inchwaist 29 inchweight 1100 grm.
