This "belle bohémienne" jean skirt is one of my line of renaissance denim couture, the name i chose for my line of couture because i take vintage denim and give it new life with french bohemian flair. To make this renaissance denim couture, i took a pair of vintage authentic seven for all mankind jeans in a size 32 waist and upcycled theminto a skirt by adding lots of layers of gorgeous, exquisite, antique french lace and tulle in beautiful golden beige, ivory, creamand taupe.
It took many hours to create all the layers of gorgeous lace and tulle ruffles there are alternating layers of ruffled tulle, gauzy cotton, and exquisite antique french lace with embroidered roses. The lace itself is very expensive and no longer available--it is a golden champagne color, with metallic shimmer in a beautiful rose floral pattern. I made several layers of golden champagne lace ruffles in a cascading, asymmetrical hemline.
I also added vertical lace ruffles among the cotton layers for a romantic bohemian flair. The waist measures 32", and the asymmetrical length is 34" at the longest points of the lace ruffles. The finished couture is a bohemian ballroom jean skirt that is funky, feminine, exotic, romantic, and very french chic. All of my designs, descriptions, titles and content are copyrighted.
