This skirt is made with 100 percent wool in dark red color. I find many people make their ribbon skirts of of cotton fabric, but wool is a warm choice for these winter months of ceremony. This wool is called suit weight and is my wool of choice for making coats and skirts. Accented with blue satin ribbon and cotton lace at the bottom hem.
The center piece is 100 percent cotton damask pattern fabric in black and white. One side of the skirt has large eagle applique. This skirt has an elastic waist which measures 35 inches around unstretched. Stretched tight it measures 38 inches. Hip measurement is 43 inches around.
The length is 29 inches. This would be considered a women's 16 size. Note this skirt is more expensive than many of the cotton skirts you might see for sale. Fine wool fabric is expensive.
