Wonderful 1950s railroad striped cotton apron skirt has the most incredible applique scene complete with farmer's, dancing, chickens, goats, and cactus using various fabrics and textures. There's accent hand embroidered details, and three dimensional elements including apron strings, leashes, and petticoats.I love the chicken that's fleeing off of the hem the skirt is technically an apron with brightly colored floral ties, but has an hook and eye closure that with it's fullness and if you add a little slip makes it into a wearable skirt. The end edges of the hem were left raw and are slightly fraying. Has some light discoloration across the front that is visible in the photos, and small discolored spots in the applique here and there.
