This is a vintage hungarian circle skirt. The skirt would have been worn in the winter , it is lovely for dancing in and keeping warm on winter days. Made from brushed cotton, pre 1945. The hem has a hand sewn scalloped hem in blue cotton.

The waist is open and adjustable with strings, so the skirt could be tied to fit changing waist measurements and last the owner longer. The waistband is lined but the skirt isntkey feature is the approx. 4.5 meters of hand sewn thread work scalloped hemsize:the circle skirt is made up of 4 panels - approx. 77cms/30 inches x 3 and 1 at 34 cms x 13.4 inches length from waist to hem 65 cm / 25.5 incheswaist - fabric length 76 cm / 30 inchescircumference of skirt hem 338 cm / 133 inchesthis skirt is very old, in good condition, the photos act as part of the description. This skirt is a piece of history and one off.
